The 2025 AANP Fall Conference is completely virtual and will be available Oct. 1-Dec.1, with registration closing on Nov. 18. Registration tiers include discounts for AANP members, retired members and student members. With 60 contact hours of continuing education (CE) credit available in nine topical areas, conference attendees have the option to mix and match learning opportunities and enjoy earning CE credit until Dec. 1.
Aside from the advantages of not having to leave the house to experience all the 2025 AANP Fall Conference has to offer, attendees are able to make their own schedules, compiling sessions from nine topical areas: acute care; business/professional or entrepreneur; cardiology; dermatology; endocrinology; infectious disease and HIV; neurology; pharmacology; and psych and mental health. Read more about each of the topical areas and their related activities below.
This dynamic track — which includes sessions such as “Advances in Respiratory Failure: Innovations and Best Practices for Acute Care,” “Not Your Average Heart Failure” and “Case Studies in Neurologic Emergencies” — offers an exceptional opportunity for NPs working in acute and critical care settings to stay at the forefront of clinical practice. This cutting-edge acute care track is designed to expand your clinical knowledge and sharpen your critical thinking — making it a must-attend experience for those looking to elevate their advanced practice to the next level.
Have you ever considered a career in nursing that goes beyond the bedside? As a NP, the possibilities are endless. The sessions on this track — like “Starting an NP-Based Practice,” “Business Plan Guide for Nurse Practitioner Entrepreneurs” and “Demystifying Contracts” — will highlight the exciting and diverse career opportunities available to NPs — limited only by your imagination.
This comprehensive track empowers NPs with the knowledge and skills needed to lead in the diagnosis, management and prevention of cardiovascular disease across diverse care settings. From foundational concepts to emerging trends, this track covers the full spectrum of cardiovascular care with sessions such as “Cracking the Cardiorenal Crosstalk,” “Cardiac Amyloidosis: Common Pitfalls in Diagnosis and Management” and “Seeing the Heart Clearly: A Practical Guide to Echocardiography.”
From “Spots, Lumps and Bumps” to “Infestations, Bites & Stings” and “Common Pediatric Rashes,” the dermatology track is designed for experienced advanced practice providers in primary care who have incorporated — or wish to incorporate — dermatology into their clinical practice. This track will address the care of dermatologic conditions across the life span, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to expand their scope of practice confidently and competently.
Do you want to delve into the complexities of hormonal regulation, diagnostic methodologies, therapeutic interventions and emerging trends in endocrinology? This track equips NPs with a comprehensive foundation in pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of common endocrine disorders — including diabetes, obesity and thyroid conditions. This track includes sessions such as “Thyroid Emergencies: Cases Not to Miss,” “Calcium Chaos: Diagnosis and Management Strategies for Hyperparathyroidism” and “Updates in Endocrine Pharmacology.”
This specialized track is designed for NPs who are managing or interested in managing patients with infectious diseases, including HIV. Through evidence-based sessions led by expert clinicians (“Use of Long-Acting Injectables for HIV Treatment and Prevention: A Clinical Update,” “Infection in Long-Term Care: Focus on Respiratory and Urinary Tract Infections” and “The Alphabet Soup of Viral Hepatitis”), participants will explore current trends, emerging pathogens, antimicrobial stewardship, resistance patterns and updates on vaccine-preventable diseases.
Are you interested in topics such as “Epilepsy Essentials: A Customized Approach to Consultation Queries,” Parkinson’s Disease Management” and “Pain Management of Nociplastic Pain”? As the demand for specialized neurological care continues to grow, this track equips clinicians with the tools to deliver expert, evidence-based care across a variety of settings. Sessions will explore pathophysiology, clinical assessment and treatment of common and complex neurological disorders — and the role of interprofessional collaboration in improving patient outcomes.
The pharmacology track emphasizes advanced concepts in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics with specific attention to their clinical implications. Individual sessions — such as “Updates in Endocrine Pharmacology,” The Evolving World of Anticoagulants” and “Obesity Pharmacology in Clinical Practice: Current Strategies and New Horizons” — are designed to present the latest advances among a wide variety of contemporary clinical topics of relevance for NPs from all practice settings.
Patients often view the primary care setting as more acceptable or accessible for mental health care than a specialty setting. Therefore, primary care NPs are on the front lines for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. This topical area — with sessions like “Personality Disorders in Everyday Practice: Assessment and Management Strategies for Nurse Practitioners,” Eating Disorders Uncovered: Understanding Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder” and “Meeting You Where You Are: Destroying Mental Health Disparities With Home-Based Psychiatric Care” — provides information to improve the delivery of mental health services in primary care; likewise, it enhances and extends the skill set for the competent mental health provider.
